  1. PS — By the way, after a few years, by the middle of the 00s, I loosened up and started going out more, so I didn’t miss that era in New York completely. And I caught some great gigs. I saw MGMT open for Of Montreal at Southpaw in Brooklyn in 2005 when they were up and coming; I saw Cut Copy kill it at a small club in Williamsburg in 2008.
